What's Up Next?
First of all, I love Wanda W. She's my new beta for Carnal, and she's a dream. I'm halfway through the chapter and I think she might have helped me break my block.
Now...
If you don't like spoilers, I highly suggest you don't read beyond this point.
Son o' de Guild is the hardest for me to say. I know I get to dig in a good bit more to Remy's interactions with all the folks his age and just what's going on with his powers. The explanation of why in the world Rogue did walk into that DR session will be chapter 7 or 8. Remy and Rogue are going to become friends (yes, just friends for the moment; I have good reasons for doing it like this), and Logan will be returning and have his first clash (you read that word right) with Remy. A busy next couple of chapters.
Fight and Shadow is giving hard chase to the muse right now and so is temporarily shoved aside for those that are flowing.
All's Fair features next chapter Rogue and Remy coming to an agreement in their ride, with a little flirting, a little irritation, and a little shared confidences, not exactly in that order. Next chappie after that, they arrive at the church and the humor picks up again.
In Love and War shows a little more of the madness going on behind the scenes, per usual, and trust me, I think you'll all like the way Rogue wakes up Kitty that morning.
Without a Trace has four chapters ahead that I know what they contain, but I just turned in what was supposed to be the last one to my beta as first! Oh well. Sometimes my muse is finicky. But just so you'll know, one of the chapters regards the X-Men, Logan and the home base, especially Kitty, as they coordinate their search and we see Kitty hack some high level intelligence agencies and put that superbrain of hers to good use. In another, we see the Assassins and assassins and the Yakuza and the Hellfire Club gather forces against Remy and Chere coordinating her efforts with Sunfire. Things get a little dicey there, but the players will be on the table. In another, we get a close up look at all the government agencies and what they're up to as regards our favorite Cajun, including the activities of Emma and the Hudsons. In the one I just turned into my beta, the wonderful PlonkerOnDaLoose, we see the real players behind what's going on and the wager that put everything into motion.
Any thoughts on whether I really ought to save that for last will be considered carefully.
Hope you like what's coming up next! And if you're anything like RogueOnFire (:virtual hugs:), then pass along your ideas and I'll find somewhere to fit them in.
Happy writing!
