No, they liked the books, but the more in-depth description just sounded... meh? I think my buttons run more deep character, less adventure shenanigans. Though if you can get me intellectually, that works too.

I like Firefly but admit to having almost zero interest in Guardians of the Galaxy. Not sure what it is exactly but none of the clips, videos, or even the awesome fanfic that I actually love has made me want to see it. Could be the humor seems a little cruder and that's a major turn-off for me.
