Prompts and Drabbles

I'm getting ready to read about 100,000 words of canon review for the collaboration, which is no small chunk, and before I do, I kind of wanted to write some drabbles. Any prompts?
  1. fandom or canon - tagset of fandoms
  2. character(s)
  3. fluff or angst
  4. one to three word prompt

I have no intention of writing out the actual crime, but the story does have Feds questioning her about a possible copycat or if there was someone else there that night and Alexei being accused of making that guy disappear (which, as I said, he didn't do, but the wrong cop got that case and is convinced he did.)

However, it's me, and they spent most of the scene where Brown should be trying to interview them making golubtsi, so it might not be so bad.

Can compromise and write fills that have minimal reference to the backstory/plot, though. And can send the parts that are about them just interacting. I like when Alexei meets Zoya or when he and Khrystyn teach her to play pool, and the references there are minimal or nonexistent.

:)

I haven't watched that show in years. It owes to my former best friend turned pathological liar introducing me to it and all of the nice nostalgic memories get a little poisoned when I remember what happened to our friendship, but I did like that show. We even adopted their quote thing for a story we were writing together.

Okay. I'll go through and see which should be okay to send. And I will likely do more fills, too.

I need to put up more prompts, too, but I think I have to pause long enough to do a few things I've been avoiding first. :(

That would be such a hard moment, finding that out.

Yes, you do.

I'll have to see if the library has a copy available. Then I'll have to make myself go get it.

Just a bit of silliness.

“Crazy. That's what I am. Absolutely crazy.”

Zoya bit her lip, and Alexei said what she was thinking. “Are you expecting one of us to disagree with you? Because I don't think it's going to happen.”

“Nope,” Khrystyn agreed, smiling at Brown before circling around her brother and kissing him on the cheek just so he'd grimace and rub it off in disgust. She grinned, and he glared at her, so she stuck out her tongue at him. She leaned against the counter and smiled at Brown. “You are with us now, and that must make you completely crazy.”

Zoya shook her head. “I'm not crazy. Maybe you are. Maybe Alexei is. Not me.”

“Well-adjusted and normal apparently doesn't belong in this house,” Alexei said, turning around with a frown. “I really am going crazy. What happened to my coffee?”

Zoya held up the cup, forced to mouth the words instead of putting it down. “Sorry. Most of the time you get me one first, so when you left it by me I assumed it was mine.”

“Ew, gross,” Alexei said with an exaggerated shudder. “You've got my cooties now.”

She rolled her eyes, Khrystyn laughed, and Brown shook his head. “Yes. Definitely crazy.”

Not actually sure I want to go here or will, but this was the first thing that came to me for this one.

“Shh,” Alexei said, holding her against him, trying to tell himself she wasn't that badly hurt, that she'd be fine. “It's okay. I'm here. You're going to be all right.”

“A... lex... ei.” Zoya's voice croaked out, hoarse from disuse and damage, and he pulled her close, knowing he was just as lucky as he was cursed. The first word she'd said in years was his name, but it might also be her last.

And a funnier, less angsty one to make up for the other one.

Alexei propped up his feet on the table. “What is your name, anyway?”

Brown frowned. “You know my name.”

“We've been calling you Brown, and it is your name, but only one of them, and that was fine when you were a stranger and the enemy spy in our midst,” Alexei went on, watching the other man's reaction, “but as you are now not a stranger and we've corrupted you, we should really be calling you something other than Brown.”

The agent shrugged. “It's fine. I'm used to being Brown. It works.”

“Seriously? I'm going to start using inappropriate things that are brown as your name if you don't fess up,” Alexei told him, and Brown stared at him. He shrugged. “Come on. My sister calls me 'little brother,' 'baby brother,' and Lyosha. How bad can your name be?”

Brown sighed. “It's not... It's...”

“Wow, and I thought what I got stuck with for Lyosha was bad,” Alexei said, shaking his head. “Who did you piss off to get that sign name?”

Brown grimaced. “My parents were both very direct people.”

Alexei nodded. “Well, on the bright side... Now you know my sister, and she's bound to rename you. Just be careful so you get something you like this time.”
