Well, since my last questions were supposed to be answered in fic. ;)

Some of them got finished and posted and some are in-process due to my sudden immersion into a fast-paced, wearying but delightful seasonal position. I thought I'd made a general announcement that apologies for falling off the map, but might not see much more 'til end of March.

:shakes head sadly:

At the end of a long workday, I generally manage to do my laundry and household chores then fall into bed!

ETA: plus, some of the fics you gave me are turning longer. The shortest ones make it out the door!

I do remember seeing/reading about the job and it keeping you busy. I just thought I'd ask because most of the questions I could think of I'd either already asked or might end up spawning more fics.

When you were writing "The Number of Fear", you talk about how Amar is Four's friend AND mentor. At what point did Amar and Four move from being mentor/mentee to being friends on top of that?

(I'm way too intimidated to touch your original stuff. Mea culpa. One of these days I think I'm going to sit down and work my way through it all.)

I think the moment I imagine it all shifted was when Amar realized that Tobias/Four was divergent and then told him the same. That common bond of what was so dangerous and made them targeted. Mutual confidences often create a greater tie of trust and comraderie.

No worries about the original fiction. Obviously, I'm next to addicted to feedback :shakes head at self:, BUT I'm behind on reading other people too. :hugs:

Ooooh. So there was a revelation, and bonding ensued. That had to make the loss even more profound, seeing as Amar would be the only one who Four would see as truly understanding him. I like that a *lot*.

1) I'd always seen Logan as more of a father figure to Kitty than her actual family in the Evoverse. Thus, parent/teacher interviews as a prompt made me thing of the two of them. I know that the prompt had asked for Logan/The Prydes, but the Prydes themselves simply weren't coming. Plus, which other adult would be willing to bail Kitty out of prison?

2) First time? Kitty's parents didn't want to believe that she was capable of hacking at all. The police hardly believed it themselves. I mean, what do you do with an eleven-year-old girl, complete with quibbling lip, who has apparently gone and played with the attendance records of her friends? She was too young to charge with anything, but it should be noted that her parents limited her internet usage from that point on and did their best to keep an eye on her when she was online. Not that it stopped her from doing nefarious deeds or anything (if anything, it just taught her to be more careful), but they *did* try.
