Things I ought to be doing
Nov. 14th, 2017 03:31 pmLike writing, finishing moving into my own house, putting together holiday gifts (yes, they take that long), and oh yeah! posting the do you want something this Christmas post!
I'm running Marvel is Marvel and am wishing now I'd stuck to my guns about only running one exchange this year and making that Multifandom Drabble. I feel like a bad mod, but my co-mod has graciously saved the day from my bumbling.
I still need to send off my drinkswap, hope all's well in my budget for general bill-paying needs (though I have a fallback to save me if it's not), and there's a ton of work at work that needs doing because we're entering busy season and general support bugs are skyrocketing simultaneous with the growing need for me to finish deep investigative audits on existing code with too many poorly quantified bugs. Technical debt in other words has come calling, and I barely have time to keep up with the urgent, let alone the important.
While my doctor has signed off on I'm over the bad health condition one two punch that's been riding me hard for five plus years, I don't actually feel better yet and my ability to put in 40-hour work weeks has consequently not revealed itself again. So while I'm really super happy and grateful to be out of the storm, I'm kinda hoping for the clouds to clear up soon.
In short, this be a super stressed scribbler that needs to feel better AND get a lot done.
And now that that's off my chest...
