So it's been foreeeever since I really wrote X-fic instead of MCU as my primary baby. It shows.

Also, never sign up for a fusion unless you've written in BOTH fandoms before and have gotten past the "it shows" phase of rookiehood.

Look, there's never any harm in trying and the only way to learn is by making mistakes. If you'd seen some of my earliest fanfic, you never would've spoken to me again. Don't beat yourself up over it! Live & learn, my mama always used to say. Still does!

Good point. And I make a point every so often of doing something off the wall just to stretch myself. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
