The tipping point. I had several people say something to the effect of "whew! what a run-on sentence!" in 3-sentence fics (with good, but ignorant reviews), in two betas (2 different readers) who both were right to say break up the complexity a bit), and then today my sister on a non-fictive email. Thus, the comment.
