I have found that word count is a lousy indicator for me on how finished works will come along, solely because my brain is constantly moving toward resolution. Sustaining momentum longer than 20K has not occurred for me and longer than 10K only once.
That's why I'm focusing on learning how to do this.
I make huge word counts only if I write more short fics. So far, I haven't been able to do it by writing a longer fic. :frowns:
