Summary: They wanted the same things. Erik/Raven/Charles drabble

Erik could sense the heat and tension between them. He could see that underneath the easy banter between Charles and his "sister" was something they had never allowed to blossom into something more. He welcomed it. Bridging the gap between the two would weld the three of them into something deeper, more amazing, and spectacular than they could otherwise be.
They would be unstoppable.
"We want the same things."
Nights spent playing chess with her brother. Days spent sensing her desire to become—for herself, for Charles, and just maybe one day for him. Surely, he could make them one.

Found: small child, between the ages of nine and ten. Skin: blue. Eyes: gold. Hair: red.
Wanted: sister, preferably a little younger, but any age will do. Likes to play 'let's pretend,' blow kisses, and eat ice cream. Must want to love and be loved. (Family is too detached.)
Charles was good at finding things he didn't realize were lost, then promptly creating all the wishes he would have felt had he known.
Found: adult male, misses family deeply. Skin: fair. Eyes: brown. Hair: brown.
Wanted: best friend, confidante, and brother-in-arms.
Together they could—no, would—change the whole world.

Story Summary: Shades of meaning and moments of significance between Erik and Raven. A series of drabbles.
Raven knows that sometimes Erik likes to get away from the mansion and from the everlasting chess game he and Charles have embarked upon. She knows that he eats lunch with a woman—Magda—with laughing eyes and an open mind.
Erik knows that Raven sometimes likes to get away from the pressures of managing the Brotherhood and uses Azazel's teleportation to visit other countries and out-of-the-way hotels. Neither of them is much concerned if she also uses Azazel's other gifts.
He tells himself they are comrades, that their relationship should be built upon firmer ground than lust or love.
