Divergent by Veronica Roth

A scene from Divergent in Four’s perspective and written by Veronica Roth. How could I not choose this for 8 days ’til Insurgent?

THERE ARE WORDS FOR THIS SOMEWHERE BUT ALL I HAVE IS FLAILING ARMS.

Nrgh. I had caught wind of this on DivergentNation, and was wondering right from the announcement of this 'contest' what scene it would be. I was putting money on either the ferris wheel or this one. I AM SO GLAD IT WAS THIS ONE.

The description of Al.
The fact that Four was planning on going factionless.
ERIC. JUST ERIC.
The sheer analytical prowess Four demonstrates and the whole backstory with Amar (Did Amar guess at Tobias' divergence? Did he help Four because of it? I NEED TO KNOW MORE)...gah. It's wonderful.
And then she clinches it with that last line. Not even the last three lines. That. Last. Line.

That's Four.

That's brilliant.

I'm not going to be able to make it through the week, am I? *headdesk*
