So I went ahead and wrote this in the hopes it would help me out with “Dowse and Bleed.” It did a bit. :grins:

Rachelle would rather be anywhere else than the newly formed Special Unit, doing the work she used to be enslaved to. But she will. For Cate.

You need to know more? Voracious you. :grins: I'm glad you said knows, 'cause I don't think I'll ever write their meeting each other. I admit, I don't really want to write much IN their operative days. Serious stuff, that, but no problem dealing with the fallout and aftermath. Funny me.

Well, I have this whole thing about knowing where people started to know where they're going. I think a huge part of the decisions we make depends on what we've done in the past.

You don't have to write too much of the operative days. I don't have any intention of sharing the whole of Garan's operative past in the Nickel and Dime series. I understand. :) Dealing with the fallout is... I don't want to say easier, but I think it's in some ways better because it's how a character overcomes the bad that was once done or they once did that makes them interesting. The reason I like sharing journeys with characters who are broken is seeing them overcome and rebuild, not get torn down.

You're welcome, for both. I'd be willing to send more prompts, too, just fair warning. :P

Go for it! I'm keeping track and each day picking what my muse will run with. That's the sad aspect of percolating. Sometimes I need time between prompt and story. On the bright note, the more I throw in the burner the better.

I keep telling myself I'm going to start talking about things again, going to talk about broken characters and books in fiction and things I'm reading, but just keeping up with the challenge means not a lot of time for more than drive-by blogging. :shrugs: Ah, well.

I've got more lyrics I was thinking of, so I'll try and gather them up and pass them along. A lot of them have been ones I've been saying I'll do something with for years, but I never do. We can only get to what time and inspiration allow us to get to.

I have been meaning to do stuff for the other sections of my website, talk about writing and stuff (I've noticed that I'm having issues with chapter breaks,) but I just keep putting that stuff off for more time to write instead.

It's hard to pull oneself away from the fic for very long.

Maybe if you get ahead in the challenge (by having a prompt turn into something big that you manage quickly or something) you'll be able to write some more non-fictiony bits like you want to.

Exactly. Once I feel like I'm up, I think I'm going to start queueing up other posts in my scheduler. I think anyway. :shakes head at self: I've got more on plate than I realize sometimes.

Everyone has more on their plate than they know. If they knew, they'd panic. ;)

I did give a few lyrics (see other comment) and so hopefully they help. I should go dig through that quote file and see if there's stuff in there worth passing along, too.
