So it took longer to format this than to write it! Ah, well. Inspired by a version of Rachelle and Justus that will never be, as they’ve been commandeered by the Kingdoms and Thorn world. A bit of romance, en brief.

This is a pesky side effect of how I acquire characters, develop premises via post-fandom canon extrapolations and multiple premise merging, and then use more than one premise developed for the same original set of characters. It's also a wee headache inducing. :shakes head at self:

Date: 2013-01-29 02:15 am (UTC)I'm a big fan of AUs, loved creating them in fandom works because there was just so much potential.
I like potential, and I like exploring new ways of seeing the characters shine and overcome the past and... I need them to have the endings that the shows/books/movies/etc don't give them.

I guess I've done something similar, not so much with same original characters moving universes, but I created Cameron and Ina's story when I wanted to use a plot that didn't fit in The Monster in My Garden Shed and since I didn't get a plot in the Nickel and Dime series, it showed up in two other places. I started a fantasy type story just to explore stuff that I'd done with Garan but couldn't go into again.
I just never thought about it quite the way you describe it. I kept thinking they were all different characters/different stories.
Very similar in a lot of cases, though.
