  • I adore arugula. It is one of the scrumptiest leafy greens on the planet. (Spoken from one who generally dislikes anything bitter.)
  • There should be a book: how to anthologize fiction and poetry. If I ever figure it out, I'll write it.
  • I love the rain—outside only and in moderation.
  • I have a few favorite authors right now (besides the one who hasn't published her amazing and gorgeous books yet so I can smotheringly recommend them to all my friends: M.C.A. Hogarth, Rabia Gale, Melanie Edmonds, and Kabobbles Publishing.
  • Linear chronology is overrated. Case in point: With Fate Conspire by Marie Brennan. Apparently, sleep is also overrated.
  • Sometimes I can't write until I figure out my world. Sometimes I can't figure out my world until I write.

It is raining again. I wish it would stop. Or that Cress was real.

I always have to know where people came from to know how they get to where they end up, so that's part of me needing the chronology.

I used to try and gap fill, and there are a few stories where I wrote the interesting bits, but it took me so long to complete them or having the interesting bits made it impossible to complete because after writing the beginning, the interesting part no longer fit. So I save those if I can, try and use them as rewards to do the parts I don't like as much.

I do write/edit in layers. I always find a bit more I can add when I read stuff over. That's part of the reasons none of my stories ever seem to be edited enough.

There is. Then again, we never stop learning, right?
