I want to. I'm just not sure I'm doing too well. I'm going to try again after I find some time to reread Denny's tale, I think. I need more primary canon immersion, and I just got a proofreading job that came in on top of getting geared up for Nano. :frustrated growl: I forgot what it was like digging deep into a fanfic-style work where I KNOW the canon.

Seriously, do not feel compelled to do it! Especially if it ends up being a chore instead of something fun. Of course I think you should reread Denny's tale just for the hell of it. Whether or not that inspires you to tackle Laurie is pretty irrelevant. If it starts to feel like the thing you're dreading, just say no.
