Hmm!

I thought you would choose her, but I didn't expect 9. She's one of those people who has pros and cons to most of her traits, so let me skew my own perspective a little to get a good look at her.

She's very introverted with few social skills. Oh, she can get by on protocol and formalized interactions, but she rubs people wrong because she doesn't really do social, if you know what I mean.

She doesn't take 'no' for an answer. And yes, I know that has upsides when you need to push through and get things done, but it has some serious downsides when it's not that you choose not to take 'no' for an answer, but that you really just don't take 'no' at all. Plus, another downside in social interactions. I knew someone with this character flaw, and it was the most aggravating thing to rub against.

Similar to item two, she doesn't know when to stop. Rest? What's rest? She'll happily work until she falls over and, if it seems necessary, let other people do the same. Definitely not a strength here. She has no concept of her personal limitations.

I think those are the big ones. I'm sure she has more that I'm just not thinking of.

Meld. He's her brother. He's the one who's been with her from the very beginning of her memory, the other half of herself in every platonic meaningful way you can think of.

He's self-sacrificing to the point of self-destruction. He would give his life for anyone. I mean anyone. He is good despite everything they ever went through. He is always there to save her (and in return, she's always there to save him). He is safety and rescue to her and in her eyes to everyone else.

If you were to turn to the Rachelle dictionary definition of hero, it would say Meld.

Jarod's turned on by sharp edges, look with your eyes not your hands, by smart technical speak (he even falls a little bit in love with Cate every time she gets going about legalities), and by heavenly coffee when he's not woken up yet.
