Ficlet O'Clock Open Prompts

I've missed doing this, and when my best friend who loves these things was out of pocket for a while, I mostly didn't try. So here's the way it works. You give:

1. fandom, storyworld (optional)


2. character and/or pairing (optional)


3. prompt

We write ficlets. Feel free to ask questions on fills and get more fills. Fill whatever you like. Prompt whatever you like. The thread stays open until somewhere after activity slows down to a trickle, I randomly call done working the thread.

So personally I've been missing writing original fiction and Rogue/Remy fic (and Logan/Ororo and Kitty/Pyro), but prompt whatever (like Bobbi or Natasha or Skye or...), just no deathfic or supernatural please.

No. It's AU. A happy AU with no Watch in it.

Uh, okay. Not sure how that works as happy when the only person we have as a possibility for him is Lisea.

Oh. Well, I'm not limiting the world to our main characters in possibilities. And in a world with no Watch, there's no reason he couldn't meet someone with a ability well suited for his.

I was just thinking of sisterlyness and being exasperated that Malina wanted her to marry her brother.

I suppose that does open things up a bit, though he does almost seem the type not to have a soul mate. He's kind of stubborn that way.

At least Malina isn't trying to pair her with Enadar.

“I think Alik must be lying about his soul mark,” Malina grumbled. Lisea looked at her with a slight frown. “He hasto be.”

Lisea shook her head. “It makes more sense that he's not. I don't see how he could be my soul mate. We are... very different people. He needs someone more like you.”

Malina shook her head. “He doesn't need what he gets from me in a wife. He has me for that. And... And it would have been so perfect. You and I are like sisters already, so if you married him...”

Lisea flushed. “I don't think that's a good reason for marrying your brother, as much as I like being your friend. Alik is—”

“I know! What about Enadar?”

Lisea stared at her in horror.

It would be bad if Malina was determined to make sure that Lisea married one of them.

Of course, Malina gets a cousin so that is almost like it. Almost.

Marrying into the Family

"Doesn't count." Malina shook her head stubbornly as she fussed with the flowers in Felise's hair.

"It does count," Lisea held her ground. She was busy fussing with Felise's veil.

Felise was just about done with both of them. "My wedding day," she said crossly. "Argue later."

Lisea got that set look to her mouth that said stubborn rocks ahead in the water, and Malina tossed her hair and finished with the flowers.

"There." Malina smiled in the mirror. "You look lovely."

Felise didn't look as silly in the lacey white dress as she'd feared and she managed to smile back.

Cute. They're so fun together. And I can so see them arguing about that on Felise's wedding day and her getting annoyed.

She's wearing a dress. Enadar will be shocked.

"Um..."

"Don't answer that," someone chimed in 'helpfully.'

Enadar snapped back, "You think?"
