Total Aside: Dream Team

Total random aside in the middle of mundane and fictive work, my Leverage/MCU fusion dream team would be all female with the token male:

• Mastermind: Maria Hill


• Hacker: Skye


• Hitter: Melinda May


• Thief: Clint Barton


• Grifter: Natasha Romanoff

I could stand for Bobbi as mastermind, but I really prefer Maria in that spot.

I wrote a Leverage AU once, with Teyla as the Mastermind and Sheppard as the grifter. It was fun. :)

But I love Maria as the Mastermind, because she so totally would be!

Maria is the bestest best best best. Okay, I like other ladies too, but she's definitely in my top 4.

You know the really amazing thing? In any other series "in the top four women" would be meaningless, because there'd only be 1, maybe 2 women.

The fact that we can say "top four women" and have it mean something is AMAZING.

(Granted, it's a franchise spanning 6 superhero movies and a TV show, but still.)

I know. I can easily look at my own writing repertoire and realize it's quite obvious my top two are Natasha and Bobbi, but Skye is creeping up there more and more and Maria's always been just a tiny bit behind them. I don't know. They just hit my buttons. Though that last episode gave me more to love about Melinda too...

It is so awesome we have tons of ladies to choose from.
