My oldest work online turns out to be very, very short and I still like it. Hmm... Ah well.

The thing about cringeworthy fic is that at the time, we don't always know it's as bad as it is. Especially early on, when we think we're all that and a bag of chips just for having written something.

But...I like that little ficlet.

Well, my top stats were fairly stable and suddenly they aren't and I have no idea why, but as I peek through, I definitely think the stuff getting the most visibility isn't doing so for any reason I can define. It's not the best stuff, but it's what gets seen. The stuff that gets the quality comments and is higher quality and has more aggregate engaged feedback rarely jumps very high. I definitely have that gripe.

That a drabble about Darcy and Clint rescuing a kitten together is at the top of my stats makes no sense to me. It's short, has no more series and collections than a lot of my better and/or longer commentfic, and it's not even that special of a title/summary. :shrugs:

I don't even know.
