Can't stop obsessing over whether or not Destan will seem like a Gambit rip off. I know I kind of compared Cress to Remy before. My thought was, I think, that the empathy was a trait passed down the male side of his family line, but this must be too much like Gambit even if Destan knew his parents and was just raised by a family servant/former slave. I even had a scene come to me where he pick pocketed someone.

*heavy sigh*

Honestly, I don't see it. And Cress is the opposite of Remy. Remy's like a life of the partner, do everything, push people to be reckless, and make light of everything kind of person. Cress is cautious, thoughtful, and responsible in a way that Remy just isn't.

Okay, good. I was afraid I'd have to change it and had no idea how which would have meant shelving it for another year or more...

I had a list once where I compared them, and they had a few things more in common, but I don't remember all of them and am too tired to go look them up. They do have glaring differences though, you are right about that.
