What was one of your fondest childhood memories? Say it in verse.

Falling Snow - a rondel
Date: 2017-06-02 03:49 pm (UTC)The first white flakes of another year:
“It’s snowing! It’s snowing, and Christmas is near!”
A joy I believed I would never outgrow.
Like Northern Lights or a rainbow,
The first snow would always fill me with cheer.
I dance and sing in the falling snow,
The first white flakes of another year.
Many years later, and now I know
The danger of winter, the cold and drear.
I miss when joy was so simple and clear,
When flurries could make my heart all aglow.
I dance and sing in the falling snow.

Date: 2017-06-02 05:30 pm (UTC)When I was a kid, I used to run outside to dance in the first snow, singing,
"It's snowing! It's snowing, and winter has come!
"It's snowing! It's snowing, and won't we have fun!
"It's snowing! It's snowing, and winter is here!
"It's snowing! It's snowing, and Christmas is near!"
I guess I've always been a poet. :)
