I think the same thing happened to me just now... got "Crosspost to Livejournal failed... Your IP address is temporarily banned for exceeding the login failure rate."

In my case I didn't particularly need to crosspost that one entry, but I'm finally using LJ again to talk to an old fandom friend, so this is highly annoying.
