I just saw that you asked about these ones!

Okay. Here we go.

1) "No Education"
I'm a Pink Floyd nerd. Second generation one too, on my mother's side, and therefore I come by it honestly. Seriously, I even used a Pink Floyd quote in my graduation comment way back when. Love the guys. I'm also a teacher, and I got a kick out of the 'editing', particularly since English is my major area of focus. Thusly, it is my teacherly icon.

2) "Crucifixion Cult"
I don't even remember where I found this one. I think it was on fandomwank over at journalfen. Regardless, it serves as my icon for anything and everything to do with religion. The way I see it, dude. I do belong to a Middle Eastern Crucifixion cult. I've always been convinced that God has a fantastic sense of humour, which is why I chose that particular one to represent my faith.
...feel free to gank.

3) "Bucky:
I used to absolutely LOVE the newspaper comic "Get Fuzzy". Not so much anymore, but that's because the writing's gone somewhat downhill. Bucky is (was?) my favourite character if only because he's absolutely insane.
(He has SILVERWARE on his head. Come on!)
It's the icon I use when I'm feeling a little nutty.

4) "Glowing Teeth"
General Alice in Wonderlande nerdery. Much like a few other icons I have, which you probably noticed. "Alice" is actually one of my favourite Disney movies, if not my FAVOURITE. I love the books to a ridiculous extent too. The Cheshire Cat is my favourite part of them. Hence, the fact that this and other Alice icons I have tend to feature him.
Side note: my first tattoo is going to be the Cheshire Cat on my back shoulder.

5) "Mister We Deal In Lead"
The image is from a manga I used to read called "Vampire Knight". The character there is Zero, the requisite damaged goods type and my favourite in the whole manga. He's a vampire hunter who ended up getting bitten, and is slowly becoming a vampire himself, and has decided he is taking down as many bloodsuckers down with him as he can...with the handy-dandy aid of his gun, Bloody Rose. There quote is from a western film (the name of which I can't remember), but here is referencing the book "The Gunslinger" by Stephen King, where a character who has been trained to become a gunslinger uses the quote just before he blows someone away. It's a lovely icon for when I'm supremely irritated.

6) "Lancelot"
I really, really, really like the 2004 movie adaptation of "King Arthur". While the theatrical cut did very little for me, I ended up scooping up the Director's Cut and falling in love. It's not the best movie ever, but I'm a sucker for it anyway. I loved the way the knights were portrayed, Lancelot specifically. I found him fascinating, this violent man who covers up everything that's broken and hurting in him with jokes, and is honest only with a select few...and has a tendency towards emotional instability and blowing up.
(Apparently, I have a type. Heh.)
He's got a very peaceful expression in this icon...even though I'm pretty sure that the image is from where he's gravely wounded.

7) "Rogue/Gambit"
The X-Treme X-Men run is something I'll always be fond of. Rogue and Remy's story arc in particular was touching. The moment captured in this icon is heartbreaking and beautiful, because dammit, they'll bleed and they'll die for one another over and over. I loved that, and I loved their life in Valle Soleada, and I loved the fact that they were inexorably drawn back to the X-Men's world. This moment though? This is beautifully painful and I love it.
