1. Give me a pairing (DCU, Marvel, ATLA, FNL, BSG, True Blood, crossovers welcome!)
2. Give me a TEXT FROM LAST NIGHT.
3. I'll write you a drabble or ficlet based on the scenario.

I'm missing some hair, but it's cool. Breadsticks are done.

Date: 2011-09-25 02:34 am (UTC)(He'd found his old Oxford apartment, worn, but still much-loved, and moved in until Moira finished fixing him up after "the incident.")
Charles did not bother to look up. "I'm sorry," he said, with only a touch of a chuckle underneath. "This was my brother's body, and I'm afraid he hasn't taken very good care of it."
The hint of a telepathic smile brushed across his thoughts. He did look up then. Emma Frost was stunning, as usual, dressed all in white (no surprise there) and looking hardly a day older (quite a surprise).
"Don't tell me you've been staying in the diamond all this time," he said lightly.
The oven chimed behind him.
Emma shrugged lightly back. "You're bald."
Charles chuckled. "Yes, I am. But the breadsticks are done."
He had her there. Her face was cool with her usual frost, but her mind was awash with surprise, exasperation, and good humor. "Charles..."
"Come, my friend. We should eat." He gestured toward the table, even as he reached for the oven door.
It still disconcerted her to see him walking, but she kept the thought off of her face. Instead, she responded to his words. "I always know it's trouble when you call me 'my friend.'"
"Are you going to start moving metal?" Charles asked.
Emma sat down primly, quite actively not deigning to reply.
He set the breadsticks on the table.
It's good to have you back, she thought. "At least I'm not bald," she said.
Their eyes met.
"Yes."
