Not weird at all. Kidfic is a very common DNW. You could always just not do the kids name part if the other bit of the prompt works for you.

I think a lot of people don't manage kidfic well. I like it okay in small doses, but there are a lot of stereotypes that irritate me, and I don't like it when the kids overtake the adult characters and become the whole story because the adults were what drew me into the story in the first place.

There is another stargazing prompt... I thought about doing that one, and I have characters to whom the stars have more meaning, but they're not future planners... but they might do the whole hand holding... I'm not sure. I'm feeling a bit... useless again.

Well, you've done more prompts than me. I've got one more fill of yours to read and a whole lot of writing to catch up, and three poems from this morning not typed up, etc.

I was pretty desperate for something, anything to write... I tried, though I'm back in the slump of not really making any real progress on any of my unfinished projects. And I came home after work feeling a bit sickly and very... depressed and uninspired.
