By Anne C. Shirley.

Cordelia Montmorency and Geraldine Seymour were bosom friends who swore never to part from each other's embrace, but when the dashing and mysterious Bertram DeVere interposes between them, shadows fall upon their path that once was so fair and bright.

Special thanks to Diana Barry and Matthew Cuthbert for their inspiration and encouragement, and to Miss Stacy for being so awfully understanding in letting us write what we wanted for this composition.

Warning: very tragical, don't like don't read!

Some found [livejournal.com profile] mcu_aufest to be their "fun" fest last year. For me it was this one, and so far, only the MCU Ladies Ficathon [livejournal.com profile] tielan ran was as fun this year.

From the announcement:

jadelennox and I are running the exchange again this year--with a bit of a twist. We're going to run two similar exchanges on two year cycle: Invisible Ficathon (classic edition!) and Lost Library, which is going to run this year.

The difference? Lost Library is much narrower in scope: it focuses on writing excerpts from canon's mentioned works--e.g. writing parts of the Hitchhiker's Guide itself. Writing excerpts of works that could theoretically exist in the canon are also allowed (eg Invisible Ficathon is broader: imaginary canons like Ghost Soup are allowed, fic about the excerpts instead of the excerpts themselves.

This year's schedule:

Nominations open: Sunday May 24
Nominations close: Sunday May 31, 11:59 EDT
Assignments are out: Thursday June 4, approximately
Stories are due: Sunday June 28, 11:59 EDT
Stories revealed: Saturday July 4
Authors revealed: Saturday July 11

Stories should be at least 500 words. Everyone is encouraged to write treats (extra fic apart from your assignment, to anyone in the exchange)--the more, the merrier!

The exchange will be run on AO3--the collection this year is http://archiveofourown.org/collections/lostlibrary2015.
